Sash windows are typical to Georgian, Edwardian and Victorian style properties and are usually bespoke-made to fit with existing proportions. Unlike regular hinged windows, sash windows usually slide from top to bottom on cords, counter balanced with leaden weights. They can be single or double hung, depending on whether each sash can be opened from the top and bottom.

Today’s modern sash windows are specialist made with highly effective materials, designed to be durable and long lasting with increased energy efficiency and noise control. Usually made from timber, sash windows are also available in Aluminium and uPVC  frames.
